The People’s Forest Radio Series:

ABC Radio National Hindsight commissioned a three-part radio series based on The People’s Forest NLA oral history collection recorded by Gregg Borschmann.

The series was first broadcast in 2000, and repeated again in 2002.

The programs document how unique bush landscapes have shaped the Australian story.  The series explores how the common thread of ‘country’ binds diverse Australians as they remember their past and imagine a very different future.  “Amidst destruction and great sadness can be found hope and ‘seeds of wisdom’, insights into what it is to be truly human,” Gregg said at the time.
