‘ … talking country’
Wildlife and wild places and spaces were once an Australian birthright. We didn’t have to think about them too much. They just were.
Suddenly, many of the old certainties are gone and we argue as the foundations of life on earth seem inexplicably adrift.
Science has one way of telling that story. Listening to people ‘talking country’ – about our place and ourselves - is another.
We need both.
